Your files

Files you select or drop into a FileStripe tool are processed entirely within your browser on your device. They are not uploaded to FileStripe or any third party, and we cannot see them. Results are created in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the tab.

Local storage

We store a few preferences on your device (light/dark theme and a list of recently used tools) using your browser's local storage. When you drop a file on the home page and choose a tool, the file is kept temporarily in your browser's IndexedDB so the tool page can open it; it is deleted as soon as the tool loads it.

Offline cache

A service worker caches the site's code so tools load quickly and work offline. It does not cache your files.

Advertising

FileStripe shows no ads and loads no ad or tracking code.

Third-party links

The EXIF viewer can link to OpenStreetMap to show a photo's location; the coordinates are only sent if you click that link.
