How to Merge PDF Files into One Document

Combine several PDFs into one without Adobe Acrobat: on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android. Free, no upload, keeps the original quality.

Application portals usually accept one file, so the CV, cover letter and certificates have to go into a single PDF. You don't need Adobe Acrobat for that.

Merge PDFs in your browser

  1. Open Merge PDF and add your files.
  2. Use the arrows to put them in order.
  3. Click Merge and download one combined PDF.

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Because nothing is uploaded, it's fine for confidential documents.

Have photos or scans too?

Convert them with JPG to PDF first (it also accepts PNG, HEIC and WebP), then merge the result with your other PDFs.

Need to remove or reorder single pages?

After merging, open Organize PDF. It shows every page as a thumbnail you can move, rotate or delete.

On a Mac without any tool

Open the first PDF in Preview, show thumbnails (View > Thumbnails) and drag the other PDFs into the sidebar. Then File > Export as PDF.

File too big after merging?

Scanned pages add up quickly. Compress PDF can usually cut a scanned document by 70-90%.
